Probationary Membership
The RKS Trial and Probationary Membership process is designed to allow potential new members the chance to get to know us, and for us to get to know them, before making a large financial commitment.
All new RKS members will start out on the Probationary Membership. First, a new member must complete a Trial period of two months. The cost for the Trial membership is $30 per member for a period of two months.
Following the completion of the two-month Trial period, the Board of Directors and the member shall consider and decide upon membership continuation. If, at this time, membership is agreed upon, each new member will then be considered a Probationary member for a period of three months from the end of his/her Trial membership date. Probationary members will pay dues in accordance with the RKS dues policy.
Trial and Probationary Members are entitled to most of the RKS Membership rights with the following exceptions:
- Trial and Probationary Members may not sponsor new members into the group.
- Trial and Probationary Members may not invite guests who have not attended an RKS event without specific permission from the Board of Directors.
- Trial Members must attend a minimum of 2 RKS events during his/her trial period to be considered for Probationary membership after the trial period ends.
- Probationary Members have all other RKS Members Rights including access to the Members Only list, attendance to RKS events, and voting rights.
At the end of the probationary period, the Board of Directors and the member shall consider and decide upon full membership continuation.
