BDSM 101
Saturday, September 11, 2010, 18:30 PM. Free for members, $5 for guests ($20 with party).
The RKS Board will be hosting this informational Basic 101 workshop for those new to the lifestyle. Topics will include terminology and acronyms, safety, negotiation, a followed by a Q&A opportunity and more. The workshop is followed by the regularly scheduled RKS play party from 20:00 to 02:00!
Beginning Knife Play
Saturday, September 25, 2010, 18:30. Presented by Copperhand. $5 for members, $10 for guests.
This workshop will cover the essentials of basic knife play.

Fetish Auction & Pirates vs. Ninja Theme Party
Saturday, October 9, 2010. Doors open at 1 PM, auction starts at 2 PM. $5 for non-members ($20 with party).
It's time again for the great RKS Fetish Auction– our 14th one! After a break for dinner, we'll offer an opportunity to break in your new purchases at our Pirates vs. Ninjas theme party. Visit the auction web site for full details.
Regular/Ongoing Events
Munch and Social
Opportunities for the Rochester BDSM community to get together, socialize, and meet new people. You do not need to be an RKS member to visit, and you do not need pre-approval to come– please stop in anytime. Both events are free– just cover your own food and drink. The social is usually at 19:00 on the first Thursday of the month at California Brew Haus, whereas the munch is usually the third Sunday at 14:00 at Jay's Diner.Play party
Twice-monthly parties held at the RKS dungeon. Parties involve socializing, playing, watching. People often demonstrate their toys or techniques to others who are interested. Parties are generally scheduled on the second Saturday and the last Saturday of the month at 8 PM. They are often preceded by workshops.Learn more about:

First Friday
Irregular events
that have an niche appeal are held the first Friday each month at
the dungeon. These include:
- Photo parties: play parties where camera use is allowed (by permission only).
- Quiet play nights: parties with more mellow music and a relaxed atmosphere conducive to intimate scenes such as shibari, bootblacking, massage (please bring your own sheets and towels), waxing.
- Slumber parties.
- Other niche special events.
Rope Night
Rope Night is an opportunity to learn and practice rope
skills. Those attending should try to arrange a partner ahead of
time, but are welcome to try their luck at pairing off if other
singles attend. Attendees are asked to bring their own rope,
although there is a limited amount of rope available at the space
for those who don't have any.
Rope night is free to members. Guests fee is $5.

Kinky Craft Night
Kinky Knitters
Unite! RKS is hosting a knitting night for RKS members and guests
at our dungeon on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
People working in similar hand-crafting mediums are welcome to
attend as well. Several experienced knitters who attend the group
who are willing to teach, so you don't have to know how to knit to
attend. There will also be supplies you can borrow to get you
started on a first project. Please RSVP if you are a first timer so
yarn, needles and other supplies are available.
At the moment, Knitting Night is experimental. If there is enough interest we will continue to have knitting nights on a regular basis.
Movie Night
Monthly
BDSM-related movies at the RKS dungeon on the third Friday each
month, at 20:00. There are no guest fees
for attending the movie!

Game Night
Game Night is held intermittently depending on the coordinator's availability. Games are mostly card games and board cames such as Cranium, Uno, Cribbage, Settlers of Catan, Hearts, Carcassonne, House on the Hill... just about anything that can wrap up within about 3 hours. D&D and other RPGs are welcome too (it's up to you to assemble a party that can accomplish anything in a 3-hour window).
Cleaning & Work parties
Monthly dungeon cleaning, maintenance, and improvement. Times vary; check the calendar for upcoming times when when you can pitch in.Board meetings
Organizational meetings for RKS, which occur at 18:30 on the second and fourth Tuesday each month. Members are welcome to attend and provide their input at these meetings.Subscriptions

Subscribing to Daily Events
Want a
reminder when an RKS event is happening? RKS offers a daily events
feed which updates nightly when an event is scheduled. This feed
can be used with several web browsers, some e-mail programs, and
many social networking sites.
Subscribing generally involves pasting one of the below links into the program or web site. Consult the program or site's documentation for more detail.
