Get Involved
Maybe you are curious about kink or BDSM, have recently moved from out of town, or are just interested in meeting like-minded people. Here are the steps to get to know the group and become more involved.
Attend a Munch, Social, or our Online Community
A "munch" is a social event held in a non-drinking, non-play environment for people interested in kink and BDSM. RKS also hosts other social events. Check our calendar for the latest events, and join us! Socials are held in Rochester and the Western New York area. Usually no RSVP is required for socials. You can also chat with people in our online community, wherever you are located.
Get Vetted
Individuals must be vetted by the group in order to attend events at the RKS private space. A vetting interview is a short conversation to see if someone would be a good fit for the group. Beginners are welcome! The RKS values informed consent, inclusiveness, and sexual freedom. A basic understanding of these ideas will help you in the vetting process. Vetting is done in-person at certain socials and over video using our online community.
Attend Events in our Private Space
The Rochester Kink Society hosts a variety of events in its private space. These include classes, play parties, lounge time, and other events. You must be vetted to attend events in the private space. The private space features several well-equipped play or "dungeon" areas, a social area, snack counter, and changing room.
Become a Member
Once you have gotten to know the Rochester Kink Society as a vetted guest, you can apply to become a member. Members can attend exclusive members-only events, have voting rights, and can take leadership roles within the organization. Vetted guests must apply for membership, pay dues, and must be endorsed by two current members to become a member.
